Partnering with you throughout the timber project process

We build timber joinery to outlast generations. Every decision, from timber selection to hand finishing, reflects our commitment to enduring quality and environmental stewardship.

Timber is a living material that ages with grace

We design for longevity , not trends. Every piece is conceived to serve multiple generations, developing character and warmth as it matures. This long-life mindset shapes how we select timber, engineer joints, and finish surfaces.

We source timber responsibly

Every tree matters. We work with certified suppliers who manage forests for future generations.

Responsible timber sourcing

We choose timber from responsible sources, supporting better use and long-term stewardship of this valuable natural material.

Waste reduction through precision

Modern precision techniques that reduce waste, while delivering restoration and period-accurate joinery.

Offcuts find purpose in new work

Suitable timber offcuts are saved and reused, giving quality material another purpose  in future work.

Repairability built into every joint

Each piece is made so it’s easily maintained, ensuring it stays a feature of your home or building long into the future.

Timber science shapes our craft

We understand how timber moves, how grain direction affects strength, and how moisture changes wood over time. This knowledge informs every design decision. Tell us about your project.

Responsible Timber Sourcing

The timber we choose has an important role in the quality, performance and longevity of finished joinery. We consider the requirements of each project carefully, selecting timber that is appropriate for the intended application and working with trusted suppliers.

Where certified or responsibly sourced timber is specified or available, we can work with the project requirements to help ensure material choices align with the wider design brief.

What this includes:

  • Timber selected to suit the application and project requirements
  • Working with established timber suppliers
  • Consideration of durability, stability and intended use
  • Certified or responsibly sourced options where specified and available

Waste reduction through precision

Each project is driven by detailed technical drawings, precise profiling, and controlled manufacturing processes that optimise material use from the outset. Modern machining allows us to achieve tight tolerances and consistent accuracy, reducing rework and unnecessary waste.

This precision is essential when undertaking restoration and period-accurate joinery, where existing dimensions, timber species, and original profiles must be carefully matched. By integrating contemporary production methods with traditional joinery knowledge, we deliver durable, compliant joinery that performs to modern standards while remaining faithful to the character of the building.

Offcuts find purpose in new work

Useful timber doesn’t stop being valuable when a project is finished. Where possible, suitable offcuts are kept for smaller components, repairs and future work, giving quality timber another purpose in the workshop.

Working with solid timber means there will always be material left over from manufacturing. By keeping pieces that can be useful again, we can make more considered use of the timber we bring into the workshop and reduce the amount of usable material that becomes waste.

Repairability built into every joint

Joinery is designed and constructed with long-term performance in mind, allowing individual components to be serviced, repaired, or replaced without compromising the surrounding structure.

Traditional jointing methods, appropriate timber selection, and compatible glazing and hardware systems are carefully considered to support ongoing maintenance over the life of the building.

This approach aligns with New Zealand durability and repair expectations, particularly for residential, architectural, and heritage applications, ensuring joinery remains functional, compliant, and visually consistent well into the future.

Discovery & Design

Every joinery project starts with understanding. We take the time to listen to your ideas, review plans, and understand how your space will be used. Our experienced team collaborates closely with you to refine designs, select materials, and resolve details early, ensuring every decision supports both form and function.

What this includes:

  • Project consultation and design review
  • Material and timber selection
  • Practical advice grounded in decades of experience

Detailed Planning & Engineering

Once your design is confirmed, we move into precise planning. Measurements are verified, drawings are finalised, and every joint, tolerance and fixing is carefully considered. This ensures your joinery is engineered to perform, not just look good on day one.

Our approach reflects our commitment to integrity: clear communication, accurate documentation, and no shortcuts.

What this includes:

  • Detailed technical drawings
  • Accurate measurements and specifications
  • Transparent timelines and scope confirmation

Precision Manufacturing

Your joinery is crafted in our workshop using a blend of traditional woodworking skills and modern precision machinery. We work with high-quality timber and proven construction methods to produce joinery that stands the test of time.

Every component is carefully assembled, checked, and finished with durability in mind, because enduring quality is at the heart of everything we make.

What this includes:

  • Timber machining and assembly
  • Quality control at every stage
  • Joinery built for long-term performance

Delivered with care

The final stage is about making sure your joinery leaves our workshop ready for the next stage of your project. Each piece is carefully checked against the agreed requirements before it is prepared for delivery.

We coordinate with homeowners, builders and other project partners as required, helping ensure the people responsible for installation have the information they need to complete the job correctly.

What this includes:

  • Final quality checks before leaving our workshop
  • Careful preparation of joinery for delivery
  • Coordination with your builder or project team where required
  • Care and maintenance guidance for long-term performance
